In creating training, employment and contracting opportunities, Argyle ensures that the economic benefits of its operations in the region remain for the long-term.

Argyle also forms capacity-building partnerships with regional organisations and businesses encouraging local leadership and local decision-making in community and resource management.

Argyle has also committed to a Participation Agreement with the region’s Traditional Owners, which preserves Traditional Owners’ rights and interests in relation to the mining lease area.

Indigenous Land Use Agreement

In 2004, Argyle signed a Participation Agreement with Traditional Owners of the land, recognising Traditional Owners as the landlords of the Argyle mining lease and Argyle's right to continue its current mining operations.

Indigenous partnerships

Through its Participation Agreement with the region’s Traditional Owners, Argyle has partnered with Indigenous people in the creation of community development and environmental management initiatives.

Regional partnerships

Argyle is building partnerships with local businesses and organisations in the East Kimberley, to help build a strong regional economy and community that will endure past the life of the mine.
